What European coffee buyers say
Feedback from roasters, importers and café owners we work with.
“From first enquiry to sample order took three days. The team answers on WhatsApp within hours, and our sample lot reached Germany in five days — faster than any supplier we had tried in Asia.”
“We have reordered three harvests in a row. Cupping notes matched the lot sheet every time, and moisture stayed stable. That consistency is genuinely hard to find.”
“Their EU MRL test reports are batch-specific and complete — residues well under limits. Our customs broker in Aarhus had zero questions at clearance.”
“Very competitive price for the quality, and the drip box packaging looks genuinely premium on our retail shelf. Our customers ask about the beans by name.”
“Three seasons running, the lot sheets matched what actually arrived in Milan — batch codes, moisture figures, cupping notes, everything traceable. That transparency is why we keep scaling our order.”
“As an EU importer, documentation decides whether we clear customs smoothly. Their batch MRL reports and traceability files arrived on time and complete — no chasing, no surprises at the border.”
“We started with a 3kg micro-lot just to cup it. The sample process was quick and professional, and because the MOQ stays flexible, we can test new profiles without betting the whole roastery.”
“Delivery windows were met to the day across three shipments, and pricing stayed competitive against other Asian origins. Communication is fast and clear — exactly what a procurement team needs.”

Green Coffee Buying — FAQ
Do you supply green coffee all year round or only after harvest?
Main harvest in Yunnan runs from November to March. We ship from current harvest stock during and after the season, and earlier bookings are confirmed against the coming crop once contract terms are agreed. Availability is always reconfirmed per lot before we send samples or an invoice.
What is your minimum order quantity and how flexible is it?
Most lots start at 3–5 kg for sample-to-roaster quantities, and container-level pricing applies from around 1,200 kg. MOQ can vary by variety, process and packing, so we confirm it on the specific lot you are evaluating rather than quoting a single blanket number.
Can you provide EU MRL testing for my batch?
Yes — residue testing can be arranged per batch, per order and per destination requirement. Reports are issued by third-party laboratories; we confirm scope, cost and lead time when you place the order, and we keep the certificate aligned with the exact lot shipped to you.
How do samples work for international roasters?
We send green samples for cupping (and roasted samples where useful) before you commit to a lot. Sample cost and freight are confirmed at the time of your request; typical cupping feedback is shared within a few days of delivery.
Which pack sizes and shipping options do you offer?
Standard export packing is 60 kg jute bags with GrainPro liners, or 15 kg vacuum bags for sample lots and retail programmes. Air freight suits samples and urgent small orders; sea freight (20'/40' containers) is the usual route for full lots. Destination and Incoterms are confirmed per order.
Can you combine different origins or varieties in one shipment?
Yes. We can consolidate lots from Pu'er, Baoshan, Lincang and Dehong in a single shipment, which keeps freight economical when you are testing several profiles at once. Each lot keeps its own batch code, spec sheet and documentation.

The Terroir of Yunnan Arabica
Yunnan is China's primary Arabica growing region. Four zones shape our lots — each with its own altitude, weather, varieties and cup character. A short field note on each region, the way we see it when we visit.

Pu'er Yunnan's coffee heartland
Pu'er is where most of Yunnan's coffee actually grows, and it anchors our standard programme. The region sits south of the Tropic of Cancer on rolling red-soil plateaus. Monsoon rain arrives in summer, while winter days stay warm and frost-free — a rhythm that suits Arabica well and keeps ripening even across the hills.
Plantings here are dominated by Catimor, valued for reliable yield and clean, consistent cups. Processing is more industrialised than elsewhere: wet mills, drying patios and warehousing are mature, which is why Pu'er can supply both steady bulk lots and selected honey-process runs. For a roaster buying volume without surprises, this is the zone that delivers.

Baoshan · Lujiangba Yunnan's historic coffee belt
Baoshan is Yunnan's oldest coffee region — plantations here date back to the 1950s. Coffee grows along the dry-hot Nujiang (Salween) river valley and its mountain flanks: strong sun, warm winters and a sharp day-night contrast that pushes acidity and sweetness into the bean.
Because the valley was planted early, old Bourbon and Typica trees survive here far more than in newer zones. Farms are smaller and more estate-like, with hand picking and on-site processing common. The result is a fruitier, more characterful cup than standard Pu'er lots — and our Bourbon washed lot comes from this belt.

Lincang Highlands Cloud forest micro-lots
Lincang sits on the western edge of the Yunnan plateau, where the Hengduan ranges push coffee to some of the province's highest plantings. Cold nights, frequent fog and slow ripening produce dense, sweet beans — the zone we use for premium lots rather than volume.
Most farms grow Catimor, but estates here have been trialling Geisha and other varieties in recent years. Volume is small and micro-lots are usually allocated early in the season. If you want a Yunnan lot that cups like a boutique origin, Lincang is where to look — and why our Geisha micro-lot and high-altitude Catimor both come from here.

Dehong The wet, tropical border zone
Dehong borders Myanmar in the far west of Yunnan. It is the warmest and wettest of our sourcing zones: south-west monsoons bring high rainfall and humidity, and coffee grows lower — 700 to 1400m — often beside banana groves and Dai villages rather than in high forest.
The character here is different again: older Typica plantings give a soft, tea-like, fine-bodied cup with gentler acidity. Volumes are modest, which is why Dehong lots are limited and sometimes blended with Baoshan Typica to keep supply steady. For roasters wanting something delicate and less common, it is worth an allocation.
How regions connect to our lots: Every batch card lists its producing region, altitude and process. Use the filters on the Green Coffee page to browse lots by region or processing method.
Quality Control & Batch Traceability
Every shipment follows a defined quality workflow from farm to container.
